DU Starts 5 Year Course in Earth Sciences
Now,science students applying to Delhi University have another option at hand. This year onward, DU is starting a five year integrated M.Sc in earth sciences after class XII. The course,being offered by the university’s department of geology, will have 25 seats and a student will have the option to exit the programme at the end of three years with a B.Sc degree in earth sciences.
The admissions to the integrated MSc course will be based on IIT-JEE score of the candidates. But those,who did not appear for IITJEE, can also apply. If any vacancies are left after admitting candidates with a JEE score, they will be filled up by the second category of candidates who would have applied only on the basis of their class XII marks.
The application forms for this course will be available from Tuesday. The last date for receipt of the forms is June 25. The course will have 10 semesters.

I am studing in m.sc EARTH SCEIENCE five years integrated course in PERIYAR UNIVERSITY at salem(TAMIL NADU).now im 3rd year in our university they didnt give b.sc degree after completion of three years and we had doubt in getting a job after finishing our course because all jobers ask APPLIED GEOLOGY or GEOLOGY not EARTH SCIENCE . then how you surely tell we have a bright future????? we even not get our government SCHOLARSHIP not yet .because our government nit yet approved our course …please help me

according to qs world ranking 2010, du ranking is after 250…
HOW WE CAN SAY THAT DU IS ONE OF THE BEST UNIVERSITY IN THE WORLD???
